2006 was the year that changed my life. It was the year that my eyes were opened up to a brand new world of sportbikes. It took me no time to discover motorcycle road racing and MotoGP. One of the first names I came to know in this field was Dani Pedrosa. Since then, I have been privileged enough to follow his career and be inspired by his talent. Like they say, “all good things come to an end,” and it was time that Dani announced his retirement, after seventeen years of racing at the world level. I was fortunate enough to travel to Valencia, Spain this past November, to view the last race of Dani Pedrosa’s full-time racing career. Here is the story of this very special grand prix, in photos.
